Menopause

Menopause naturally occurs for women when they stop having periods. Women experience menopause as a natural part of ageing, which usually occurs between 45 and 55 years old. The average age of menopause to start in women in the UK is 51 years old, but some symptoms can start man months before your final period. These symptoms last roughly 4 years as your body adjusts to hormonal changes.

What causes Menopause?

The hormonal balances in your body change as you get older. Your ovaries stop producing as much oestrogen as you age and no egg is released each month, causing a hormonal imbalance which causes menopausal symptoms. Signs of menopause can vary in intensity and on a daily basis and it is expected that about 1 in 100 women will experience menopause before they’re 40 years old.

Do you suffer from the following?
