What is Wrinkle Reduction?
If you feel that fine lines and wrinkles are giving away your age or making you look much older than you feel, then you may be looking for the best treatment to improve their appearance and restore the smooth, plump skin associated with young skin – Wrinkle Reduction.
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment when it comes to wrinkle reduction. The best treatment for you will depend on the kinds of wrinkles you want to treat, where they are on your face and neck, their grade and severity. We are passionate about helping you choose the right treatment for your individual needs.
If you have dynamic lines caused by the movement of your expressive facial muscles, wrinkle reduction injections using botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) may be your best option, whereas dermal fillers are more appropriate for deeper, permanent wrinkles caused by volume loss. Radio frequency procedures work well for generalised rather than localised treatments; chemical peels encourage skin cell renewal below the surface of your skin and remove dull, dead skin cells. A HydraFacial, on the other hand, is great for extracting impurities and giving you a healthy glow when your skin needs an immediate boost.

Wrinkle Reduction FAQ’s
- Botox® is the brand name for botulinum toxin type A injections that are used by Doctor Victoria. Using Botox® injections, we can carefully target specific facial muscles to stop them contracting. In turn, this will smooth, reduce and even remove the fine lines and wrinkles that may be giving away your age. You can read more about Botox wrinkle reducing injections here.
- Dermal fillers are wrinkle reduction injections that use hyaluronic acid to restore the lost volume to your skin and leave it looking smooth and hydrated. You can read more about dermal fillers here.
- Radio frequency treatments such as Forma facial skin tightening and Fractora skin resurfacing essentially use heat to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Collagen, in particular, is a heat sensitive protein which, when slowly heated to a sustained temperature of 41oC-43oC, breaks down. This heat also triggers the formulation of new collagen to repair the skin and improve its elasticity, significantly improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- With a chemical skin peel, we apply a specially formulated acid to the skin to remove the top layer of skin cells, extract impurities and stimulate skin cell renewal. Chemical peels come in various strengths from gentle, superficial peels you can have as a lunchtime procedure with no downtime to stronger peels that result in a greater degree of peeling. Chemical peels can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve areas of hyperpigmentation, brown patches, red patches and other common skin problems.
