The Morpheus8 device can be used in any area which can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Anywhere you notice a loss in skin elasticity, discolouration or scarring can be treated with this fractional resurfacing device. The most common areas treated are the lower face and neck.
Many patients will notice the effects within a few days of their treatment and will see noticeable results of the procedure around 3 weeks after. Improvements to your skin will continue up to 3 months after treatment. Depending on what area you’re having treated and your skin will determine the number of sessions needed. However, we recommend 1-3 sessions spaced about 6 weeks apart.
Fractional resurfacing technology uses heat in a controlled way to revitalise the collagen. This means there will be a slight sensation of heat during the treatment, however, patients report there is a little discomfort.
The Morpheus8 device is suitable for all skin types without causing any harm or inflammation to the skin. There is little downtime however patients may notice some redness which can take about a week to disappear. Some patients may also notice some minor lesions around the treated area, but these disappear quickly. Makeup can be applied to the treated area after 1-2 days and it’s important to avoid direct sun exposure and moisturise after your session.
