Profhilo injections amplify the hydration of your skin by creating more collagen. Hyaluronic acid, which is used for dermal fillers, is also used in these injections but offers more control and precise distribution of the substance. This is why it is so effective on delicate areas of the skin and around the eyes. The hyaluronic acid draws moisture to the surface of the skin to give you a glowing, radiant look. The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles also is reduced.
We inject Profhilo into the middle layers of the dermis to begin nourishing and plumping the skin from within. These injections have become the latest trend in aesthetics where thousands are noticing the benefits of nourishing your skin.
The regenerative effect is more gradual and occurs due to the principal component of Silhouette Soft sutures; Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA). These sutures are biodegradable over time but the natural foreign body which is inserted into the skin stimulates the production of new collagen. This new collagen helps improve the firmness of the skin and restores shapeliness to the face and neck.

You will notice the effects of your Profhilo treatment after a few days. This is from the increase in collagen production. Your skin will be noticeably more radiant but how long these effects last will depend on how quickly your body absorbs the collagen as well as the age of your skin. After your first Profhilo treatment, we recommend coming in for a top-up session one month later. After this initial top-up, coming in every 6 months is the best way to maintain glowing skin all-year round.
Depending on the location being treated, we will decide how many injections will be needed to give you the results you want. Before any injectable treatment, we make sure the skin is completely clean. A topical anaesthetic may be applied to reduce discomfort but most patients find the sensation manageable. After your treatment, there will be little to no indication of treatment and you’re ready to resume your daily activities.
After your treatment, although you can go back to your day-to-day errands or work, we do suggest avoiding direct sunlight for a prolonged time or sunbeds for 24 hours. Avoid applying makeup to treated areas for up to 12 hours post-treatment too.
