What is Forma Plus Body Sculpting ?

Forma Plus Body Sculpting by inmode is an advanced body modelling treatment for lax skin that will refine and tone your body. Using fractionalised RF energy, we can stimulate collagen production and provide you with a non-invasive treatment to tighten targeted areas of loose skin. Plus is particularly effective if you have lax skin as a result of weight loss, post-pregnancy, or simply because of ageing. How does Forma Plus Body Sculpting work?

With the Forma Plus system, a radiofrequency current flows between electrodes on a handheld device to create and apply heat to your skin. Using the device, we are able to slowly heat your skin to a sustained temperature of 41°C – 43°C, which is the optimum temperature to cause your old collagen to unwind and new collagen to be formed as the body works to repair the heat damage beneath the surface. Plus uses Smart RFTM technology to keep the temperature within a precise range. It reads your skin surface temperature a staggering 1,000 times per second and cuts off the heat at the optimum temperature to protect your skin. As new collagen forms in the days and weeks after your treatment, you will notice that your skin becomes tighter and smoother, giving your body a more toned and sculpted appearance. Plus is particularly effective for tightening lax skin on your abdomen, arms (especially ‘bat wings’), inner and outer thighs, back and knees.

How long does a Forma Plus treatment take?

A Forma Plus treatment typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes, although it will depend on the size of the area to be treated. With most people, we see a 20% increase in collagen production and skin elasticity as a result of Forma Plus treatment. Although you should see some improvement after one treatment, we usually recommend that you have a weekly treatment over six weeks for the best results. Collagen build-up occurs slowly, so you should notice your skin tone continues to improve for several weeks after each treatment.

Is it painful?

Because Forma Plus delivers heat to your skin in a highly controlled way, this is a comfortable procedure. Your skin will feel warm but most people liken it to a hot stone massage. This treatment has no downtime, although you may notice a slight redness in the treated area, which should resolve itself within a couple of hours. You can return to your daily activities as soon as your treatment is over.
