As the light waves from the ClearSkin laser penetrate the skin, it targets bacteria, dead skin cells, and excess sebum. All of these play a big role in treating acne and causing breakouts. This treatment is completely non-invasive, relying on the power of light waves to target acne. As we target acne, collagen production is also stimulated which helps keep the skin looking fresh, firm and free of wrinkles.
The ClearSkin laser is non-ablative which means it works by safely heating up tissue. Some patients may feel a slight sensation of heat because of this, but there is virtually no pain and requires no needles of numbing creams. The device also comes with a built-in cooling mechanism to maintain maximum comfort for our patients.
You may notice some redness on the treated area immediately after your session, however, this will fade quickly. Your skin will look clearer and have an improved texture straight away, however for the best results we recommend about 5 treatments to maintain long-term results.
