Forma by inmode is a radiofrequency treatment designed to create temperature controlled heating of the skin to stimulate the formulation of new collagen and improve your skin’s elasticity. Sometimes referred to as a ‘scalpel-free facelift’, Forma is ideal if you have moderate loose skin, especially around your jawline and neck. We also use Forma PlusTM for body skin tightening. With the Forma system, a radiofrequency current flows between electrodes on a handheld device to create and apply heat to your skin. Using the device, we slowly heat your skin to a sustained temperature of 41°C – 43°C, which is the optimum temperature to cause your old collagen to unwind and new collagen to be formed as the body works to repair the heat damage beneath the surface. Forma uses Smart RFTM technology to keep the temperature within a precise range. It reads your skin surface temperature a staggering 1,000 times per second and cuts off the heat at the optimum temperature to protect your skin. As new collagen forms in the days and weeks after your treatment, you will notice that your skin becomes tighter, smoother and with fewer wrinkles. If we treat your jawline, you should notice you have better definition in the jowl area.
A Forma skin tightening treatment typically takes roughly 30 minutes so, because there’s no downtime afterward, you can fit it in during your lunch break or as a convenient procedure to give your face a gentle lift. Most people report a 20% increase in collagen production and skin elasticity as a result of Forma treatment. Although you should see some improvement after one treatment, we usually recommend that you have a weekly treatment over six weeks for the best results. Collagen build-up occurs slowly, so you should notice your appearance continues to improve for several weeks after each treatment. Forma treatments are noticeable and consistent. Unfortunately, we can’t stop your skin from ageing, so the results from Forma aren’t permanent. You may decide to book a periodic top-up treatment to maintain how you look.
Because Forma delivers heat to your skin in a highly controlled way, this is a comfortable procedure. Your skin will feel warm but most people liken it to a warm massage.
