Liquid Facelift

Leave your skin looking smoother, softer and beautifully hydrated with a combination of treatments designed to gently lift your face.

Liquid Facelift in Winchester

A liquid facelift is a name often given to a non-surgical treatment that combines the use of botulinum toxin type A injections [E1] and dermal fillers [E2] to help you achieve a more youthful appearance. With a liquid facelift, we can target your dynamic wrinkles – e.g. the ones caused by movement – and static wrinkles typically caused by a loss of volume beneath your skin’s surface. This is a fantastic treatment option if you want to rejuvenate your face for six to 12 months with no downtime.

Although liquid facelifts can’t deliver the same results as a surgical facelift, they are ideal if you are beginning to notice the signs of aging and don’t have too much sagging or skin laxity. This procedure should help your skin look smoother, fuller and beautifully hydrated without permanently changing your face in the way that you would with a surgical facelift.

Liquid Facelift FAQ's

With a liquid facelift procedure, we use a combination of Botox® and dermal fillers to subtly sculpt and lift your face. How we will do this will differ from one person to the next – you may want us to focus on your dynamic wrinkle lines such as your crow’s feet or horizontal brow lines, or we may decide in consultation with you that the emphasis should be on restoring definition and volume. With a liquid facelift, we look at your whole face to provide a more encompassing treatment than Botox® or dermal fillers can achieve when used on their own.

Although the media has dubbed the combination use of Botox® and dermal fillers as a ‘liquid facelift’, it is really very different from a surgical facelift. A surgical facelift can dramatically change your face by lifting your features and tightening your skin. It can also require a significant amount of recovery time and the results are permanent. A liquid facelift is a far more subtle treatment. We can strategically inject targeted areas of your face with Botox® and dermal fillers to restore lost volume and smooth away fine lines and wrinkles. At the end of the treatment, you will look like a fresher version of your natural self. This procedure won’t tighten your skin or dramatically reshape your profile but it is ideal if you want to achieve a more youthful appearance for six to 12 months.

Both Botox® and dermal filler treatments are temporary, non-invasive and require virtually no recovery time, which means that you can get straight back to everyday life after your liquid facelift. You should see an improvement to your appearance straightaway, although the full results will be clear within approximately two weeks. How long the results last depends from one person to the next and is influenced by factors such as the size of the treatment area, where you’ve had treated, your own response and more. As a general rule of thumb, you should see a noticeable improvement in your appearance for between six and 12 months, after which you may decide to have a top-up treatment to prolong the results or gently sculpt a particular area of your face.

Unlike a traditional facelift, a liquid facelift is a non-invasive and comfortable procedure. As we will need to inject your face in a number of targeted areas, we will ask you to come into the clinic 30 minutes before your appointment so that we can apply a numbing cream. You may experience some bruising, swelling and redness at the injection sites after your treatment but this should subside within a few hours. Both Botox® and dermal fillers have an excellent safety record when used by an experienced and highly qualified aesthetic professional. Dr. Gauba will always talk through the potential side effects of any treatment before you confirm that you want to go ahead.
