Botox® is the brand name for botulinum toxin type A injections that are used by Doctor Victoria. Using Botox® injections, we can carefully target specific facial muscles to stop them contracting. Radio frequency treatments such as Forma facial skin tightening and Fractora skin resurfacing essentially use heat to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Collagen, in particular, is a heat sensitive protein which, when slowly heated to a sustained temperature of 41oC-43oC, breaks down. This heat also triggers the formulation of new collagen to repair the skin and improve its elasticity, significantly improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
With a chemical skin peel, we apply a specially formulated acid to the skin to remove the top layer of skin cells, extract impurities and stimulate skin cell renewal. Chemical peels come in various strengths from gentle, superficial peels you can have as a lunchtime procedure with no downtime to stronger peels that result in a greater degree of peeling. Chemical peels can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve areas of hyperpigmentation, brown patches, red patches and other common skin problems.
