The PRP Facelift

The PRP Facelift uses your own platelets to help rejuvenate your own skin. When your platelets are injected back into your skin, elasticity and collagen production is stimulated leaving you with a radiant glow and more youthful skin.

What is The PRP Facelift ?

As we age, the production of collagen and elastin in the body starts to slow down, leaving our skin to become thinner, loose laxity, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles start to become more defined. This is when the PRP Facelift using platelets comes with help.

The PRP Facelift uses the platelets from your own blood. The platelets are the key to the procedure as they contain many growth factors which can naturally stimulate the tissues beneath the skin for a more youthful look. As the growth factors are carefully and precisely injected back into your skin, this makes multiple micro-injuries which is why collagen production is stimulated.

Once more collagen is produced and the growth factors are in beneath the skin, you will notice an evener skin tone and texture to your face, as well as a healthy glow and the reduction of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles.

The PRP Facelift FAQ's

The number of sessions you need will depend on the age of your skin and what results you are looking to achieve. Usually, we would recommend one session a month for three months, but we will give you a more tailored analysis after consultation.

As with any injectable treatment, there may be some minor discomfort, however, we apply a topical cream to keep this discomfort to a minimum. Most of our patients report little to no pain.

Since we are using growth factors derived from your own blood, there is no risk of reactions, allergies or side effects reported from any platelet injecting treatment. It is your blood which is drawn, thus your platelets which are injected. It is extremely uncommon for your body to reject something which has come from you in the start. It is important to note that you may notice some redness across the face after your treatment is finished, but this will fade quickly and is completely normal.

We will initially draw a small amount of blood from your arm and centrifuge it to separate the platelets from the blood. Once the platelets are separated, we will extract and inject it back into the treatment area. Essentially, as we inject the growth factors into your skin, the healing process is boosted, encouraging your skin to rejuvenate and replenish itself.
